Phoenix Classics Monthly Newsletter - March 2026

Issue #7 : Published

A Note from the Chairman

Over the last four weeks we’ve had a good run of meetings with some decent turnouts and a great mix of vehicles on display. It’s always good to see both regular faces and a few new ones joining us each week.

Our meet at The Manor Farm was a great start to the month, with a good turnout despite the typical British weather trying to spoil things. There was a nice variety of vehicles on show, it was sad to see the atmosphere was still the same with the management, it's such a shame because it's a fantastic venue.

The following week at The Black Swan we saw another strong turnout with a great mix of cars and plenty of interest from members of the public stopping by for a look. These meets are always a good opportunity to catch up, talk about ongoing projects and share a bit of knowledge between members.

Our meet at The Moss Bank Hotel was another enjoyable morning despite the awful weather. It was good to see several new vehicles attending for the first time along with our regular supporters. It’s always encouraging to see new people discovering the club and joining in with the relaxed and friendly atmosphere that Phoenix Classics is known for. I have concerns about parking once the good weather comes, we will be monitoring this situation closely.

The Castle Pub, which again brought out a good selection of vehicles. As always there was plenty of discussion around cars, restoration work and upcoming shows for the year ahead. As I've mentioned before I have concerns about the parking, it's worrying that the council seems to want the business to struggle.

Overall the last few weeks have shown exactly what the club is about a friendly group of people meeting up, enjoying their vehicles and keeping the classic car community active.

I’d also like to thank everyone who continues to support the club by attending regularly. Without the members there would be no club and the continued support is very much appreciated.

Regards,

Carl - Club Chairman

Last Month’s Highlights

We had a bit of sunshine with us for our February Castle meet which brought plenty of cars out. The limited parking space was packed!

We're keeping an eye on the parking situation at the Moss Bank as we always fill it to overcapacity. The bad weather forecast didn't put people off!

A relatively quiet meeting this month, but look at this gorgeous Chevette!
